¿ Is the piece functional or sculptural ? ? ANIMAL - VEGETABLE - MINERAL ¿ ¿ REPRESENTATIONAL or ABSTRACT ? You are now dealing with a 3-Dimensional Object ⟹ walk around everything you build⟹ address the form inside and out⟹ T O P - M I D D L E - B O T T O M⟹ TEXTURE IS IMPORTANT!!!!✱ 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️ Always make notes and sketches! 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️✱
1. Sketch your ideas.
2. How did it start out... how did it end up? - note your journey
3. What happy accidents happened? Can you reproduce it?
4. Make color notes.
5. Get in the habit of numbering your pieces or sketching the shape and making notes about what glaze/underglaze you used so you can do it again.
Paper is available for sketching - consider every class and keep notes on every project. |
